Oh Wait, There’s One More Thing…..

Posted on Tuesday 26 June 2007

Those of you planning on camping over night only to purchase a 600 dollar phone that’s going to cost you over 1000 out the door, be prepared to be very disappointed.

What apple hasn’t told you is that the phone isn’t going to be fully functional.  That’s right.  It isn’t done yet.  Ever notice that the keynotes, the apple website, or the new 20 minute howto does not have a demonstration of ical or the camera?   Yup, you will have to wait for a firmware upgrade which all Apple employees have been told they must say to every customer before a purchase.  Are you going to care?  No, you already took off work and slept next to hobo joe all night.

Think about it, a 2 MP camera integrated with mail, iphoto, and your address book along with photo booth, they would be flaunting it every second they could.

So as my friend Mr. Jobs would say, “Oh wait, there’s one more thing, ifuckyou”

A 1000 out the door, I don’t know where you get that figure from. The 8GB cost $599, activation fee for new customers is $35. Thats about $620 without activation fee and includes tax. As for the ical and camera, the camera is fully functional and ical only has a few kinks that are being worked on.

Mark my words, it’s never that simple. Headset, accessories (case), hidden fees like first and last month, tax on top of that, it adds up.
